Downright is Canberra’s newest DJ service, bringing over 10 years of interstate experience in DJing and music tutoring. We are passionate about making your wedding, party or event the perfect experience without you needing to break the bank. And as classically trained musicians, we can offer much more than a standard DJ.

Meet the owner
Meet John, the owner and operator of Downright DJ's
John’s DJ resume includes a recent stint on the greek islands, dozens of weddings, hundreds of club and party gigs, plus some medals in DJ competitions (two state competitions won, one national competition runner up).
With a background in classical guitar and piano, he’s spent the last ten years not just behind the decks, but tutoring others in the art of DJing and Music Production.
John prides himself on ensuring that the music for your event is exactly what you’re looking for. Some DJ’s play the same mega mix every event… not him. Whether you want to see the dancefloor going crazy all night, or are looking for something more relaxed, he’s got the right tracks for the occasion.
