Downright is Canberra’s newest DJ service, bringing over 10 years of interstate experience in DJing and music tutoring. We are passionate about making your wedding, party or event the perfect experience without you needing to break the bank. And as classically trained musicians, our team can offer much more than a standard DJ.
Whether you’re after the usual fun and professionalism that comes with a highly experienced DJ, or are hoping to take your event to the next level with boutique Vinyl DJing, we have you covered. Weddings and events include 5 hours of DJing, setup and pack down, plus a pre-event meet and greet to discuss your vision. Parties include 4 hours of DJing plus setup and pack down.
All packages include speakers, wireless microphone, lights, smoke machine, DJ decks, and DJ.

Looking to bring an extra special edge to your event or venue? Some people say Vinyl has a warmer sound due to the lossless format, some people just think it looks cooler… we agree with both. We’ll bring along our diverse record collection full of the hits, and if you have some vinyl you want played, we’d love to spin it for you!
We offer Vinyl DJing for $250 an hour (minimum 2 hours) plus $100 set up fee.
Includes speakers and decks setup. We offer discounts if you have your own decks and/or speakers.

Looking for someone to bring the vibe up for a couple of hours? We offer DJing for $150 an hour (min 2 hours) plus $100 set up fee.

Why settle for the ordinary when you can rock it out with our tailor made mixes? For a flat rate of $250 per hour of your mix, we can turn your favourite tracks into a custom mix for your event, one that you can hold onto forever. It can be a cheaper option than hiring a DJ for a whole night, and will take your favourite playlist to the next level!

I love to dance but I've been to so many weddings where the DJ is playing and the dancefloor is empty, or there's a few people dancing trying to start it up but it's just awkward. John was amazing at our wedding; as soon as the dance floor opened, everyone was up dancing and it stayed that way right up until midnight.
